Small Update

* The Lazy Arse project is getting my arse in shape. I already lost some kilos, I feel more alive instead of a zombie and I'm getting some long lost muscles back. Yay! Dance class is great except when I have to do the "sexy" dance, my crosstrainer is sublime and highly addictive and running is okayish. I'm thinking about going for speed instead of distance 'cause that's more my thing. So yes, all is great in Lazy Arse land.

* Got my wisdometeeth pulled. I was nervous. When I got some papers in hospital that said "bodybag included" I was even more nervous. But I lived. And no, I don't resemble a guinea pig, my cheeks are a bit puffed that's all.

* Went to see Rufus last night. It was his last chance. I don't like his last CD all that much and he sucked big time at Werchter. The concert was OK. I liked the up tempo songs and the old ones the best. I guess I'll never get into his latest album. Too bad.

* That's it boys and girls. Check back in a month or so for more news. :D

Imagine

(no subject)

On Saturday it was scorching hot. [info]duvelman was so kind to invite us to his garden. He has grass, we don't, so the choice was easy! After reading in the sun for about three hours with intervals I looked like a lobster. "Yes", I'd used lotion and "no" no-one noticed anything until it was too late.
After a refreshing shower we went to the 'Lokerse Feesten' to see the Pet Shop Boys. In true tradition we argued in the car "en route" to the festival and we agreed that the next time I should drive instead of bitching about [info]jamaisneutral's driving/parking abilities.
The concert was great minus one incident with some drunken prats. Drunk people are not fun!
On five hours of sleep (two for [info]jamaisneutral) we went to Amsterdam. Due to some mix up about dates, we went to the aftermath of The Canal Pride instead of going to the real thing.
We met up with Dracorubio and went looking for shoes for Spikey, again strolled the streets of Amsterdam. We ended up at the afterparty of The Canal Pride.

There were some hot looking women, some scary men and hunky men but we were just really tired and didn't get to enjoy it too the max. :-(
And I must I've been really tired because I only took about thirty pictures and most of them sucked big time.

Right, that's enough of incohesive rambling.

Werchter (2)

So Werchter... You know I said there would be about 60.000 people to squash me?? Think again! +76.000 is more like it. But lets start at the beginning...

I won't tell you about the trip to Werchter. All I can say is it took us about 4 hours and [info]jamaisneutral (the GF) and I didn't like each other very much when we finally got there.

We got in and went trough this lousy security check. Yes, lousy! I could have smuggled in tons of drugs, audiostuff and my lovely SonyA. Aaargh! After we got our wrist bands we decided to eat outside the festival. Surrounded by drunken Dutchmen I ate my chips. I even saw this guy waving his c*ck at me for several minutes. When I finally got over the shock I was too late to notify the GF who was truly disappointed. :D

talking about Werchter some more )
Conclusion: We spent way too much money on food and drinks, I don't like crowds and I seem to have turned into some old lady who likes to bitch about things. :-)

Werchter

Today the GF and I are going to Werchter. I can't bring SonyA so I had to pick up Ric at my mothers. I hope he does his best tonight!!

We really only went to this festival with way too many people on one meadow to see Mika but then he decided to cancel on us. Grmbl. But yes, we're still going 'cause we paid way too much money to cancel ourselves and I never went to Werchter before. It'll be an experience. I guess it is always an experience to be crushed by 60.000 people..

Anyway, if we ever get there (traffic jams of +/- 30 km around the damn festival town, parking space???) I'm sure I'll have a blast. It's music, it's the GF, it's fun!

But I'll miss SonyA for sure. *nods*

lick!

Kylie concert

Just installed Itunes 7.2 and the program found files I even forgot excisted. I'm listening to almost an hour of live concert of Kylie Minogue I illegally taped.(I'm such a bad ass)
It is so funny 'cause you can hear [info]jamaisneutral scream "Pet Shop Boys" when she performs a "duet" with a taped Neil.
And I can hear the exact moment when the almost naked men appeared on stage. The crowd went ballistic. Yes and [info]jamaisneutral and the two gay friends who came with us too.

The whole thing just puts a smile on a face while I'm ironing, and I hate ironing!

Concert (2)

[should have been posted yesterday]

Evanscence rocked my world yesterday. It was all I expected it would be. A very enthusiastic Amy who sang her heart out, a light show and a "freak"show. I loved looking at all the people who came to watch an American goth rock group. Some looked like they were ready to be bitten by a vampire, some were pregnant, some were old (+70), some were young (+/-10) and accompanied by their parents who either obviously wanted to embarass their kids by wearing flowy grandma dresses or who were really into it. :-)

The group before sucked big time. Four teenagers accompanied by a computer to produce the necessary beats to supply "the edge". Electro smothered by 4 guitars and a drum. It wasn't pretty, I tell you! I didn't even get their name as they didn't introduce themselves properly but they were obviously feeling home-y 'cause two didn't bother to wear a shirt. Little boys trying to act like grown up touring men. A bit sad actually.
Luckily they only "performed" five songs. Or six, I didn't quite understand when one ended and the other began and they all sounded alike. Horrible.

I was really glad Amy came on stage and made us forget those teenagers in a mere three seconds! Yay for her. I loved all the songs she performed (of course) and I even saw the GF shake her goodies. Yep, she didn't end up below the balcony. *proud* She just now asked me to play something of the group (yes, I was playing Marija instead of Evanscence). I'd put on this (click below)

but she wanted something with more guitars. Ah yes, I'm teaching her well. :D

Next concert on the agenda: Mika & Rufus Wainwright

[Yay!! LJ is back!!!]
