On Saturday it was scorching hot. duvelman was so kind to invite us to his garden. He has grass, we don't, so the choice was easy! After reading in the sun for about three hours with intervals I looked like a lobster. "Yes", I'd used lotion and "no" no-one noticed anything until it was too late.
After a refreshing shower we went to the 'Lokerse Feesten' to see the Pet Shop Boys. In true tradition we argued in the car "en route" to the festival and we agreed that the next time I should drive instead of bitching about jamaisneutral's driving/parking abilities.
The concert was great minus one incident with some drunken prats. Drunk people are not fun!
On five hours of sleep (two for jamaisneutral) we went to Amsterdam. Due to some mix up about dates, we went to the aftermath of The Canal Pride instead of going to the real thing.
We met up with Dracorubio and went looking for shoes for Spikey, again strolled the streets of Amsterdam. We ended up at the afterparty of The Canal Pride.



There were some hot looking women, some scary men and hunky men but we were just really tired and didn't get to enjoy it too the max. :-(
And I must I've been really tired because I only took about thirty pictures and most of them sucked big time.

Right, that's enough of incohesive rambling.

After eating way too much tiramisu made by Spikey I have decided to make my own today. After a tutorial by the master himself of course. My collegues will be my guineapigs tomorrow. Muhahaha. :-)
Well, let's hope they enjoy it...

Now, if you'll excuse me I'll go do the ironing until jamaisneutral gets home. Then she can take over while I prepare dinner for our friends tonight. I love to cook, can you tell?

Saturday I went to see Shrek 3 with jamaisneutral, Spikey, Ellen, E-freak and his boyfriend.
I don't like or dislike this third part. In my opinion this one is more about oneliners instead of a storyline but hey, it's still funny. And aren't those little ones extremely cute?!
After the film we went to this Cuban themed café as E-freak's BF was in the mood for mojito's. Minth isn't really my cup of tea so I had a delicious piña colada. Yum, pineapple! We got home around three o'clock.

On Sunday jamaisneutral and I had a family (in law) dinner on our to do list. Family dinner and way too much alcohol are like the bestest of friends cause you always see them together. Anyway, I enjoyed my shrimp croquettes and all the fruit and veggies that got dumped on my plate. I even had so much to eat I couldn't finish my delicious coupe fraise. I felt like I could explode at any moment.
That evening we went to Spikey to watch some Battlestar Galactica. He'd made tiramisu and I couldn't resist, so yes I looked like a stranded whale. Fat tummy! :D

A week ago Foxy and I decided to have a monthly dinner date with Spikey and our boy/girlfriends. Wether they liked it or not! :-)
Last night we went to Spikey and taught him how to make lasagna. We made two kinds. One with and one without tomatoes as my stomach and gallbladder are acting up again. I have to say that Foxy was in charge and we were all running around trying to please her. Yes, we were a part of a very professional kitchen. :D
I had loads of fun preparing dinner, as food is one of many passions of mine. I learned a lot as expected when cooking with other foodafficionados.
After eating way too much lasagna accompanied with a glass of white wine we had Spikey's specialty: tiramisu.

We were never short of conversation and I had a wonderful evening!


When Foxy and her boyfriend left Spikey, the GF and I watched another episode of Battlestar Galactica. (s02e11) Cliffhanger!!
I really love the series especially Starbuck. :-) And they are highly addictive!! Must see another ep. really soon...

1) The cats are on a diet. They are now totally crazy. Every single time The Sweetie or I enter the kitchen they jump at us. They bite my toes. Yes I walk barefoot, even in winter. And they scratch at my hands when I'm trying to get their plates down. And do you want to know the worst part? I don't even know if they lost any weight 'cause we don't have a balance!

2) The boiler is broken. No hot water. In order to wash my hair and shave my legs and stuff I had to drag a bucket several times up the stairs. (we have this mini boiler in the kitchen) And yes I need to take a bath to shave myself. When I do it with cold water or at the sink I get goosebumps all over and that's not something you want when you have a razor going at it. Unfortunately the little kitchenthingie can't handle large quantities of hot water. Resorting in a bath with very little water. I got to wash my hair. But I still got goosebumps. Blood all over the place. Oh and I managed to cut myself on a bottle. More blood. Grmpf!

3) A friend of mine moves to Hong Kong with her new BF. I'm busy writing her a story starring her and the rest of the handball team in this maffia story. Quite fun actually.

4) This Sunday The Sweetie and I are three years together. She has something in store for me. I don't like surprises: I just want to know everything! And receive it immediately! But I have to wait. Not happy about that.

5) Still don't have a job.

6) I'm sick.

7) I feel the urge to rant at several people or things that annoy me but I won't.

Insomnia's back.
Been busy babysitting.
Went to a lame party with cool people to act like a total dork.
Which was nice.

Really not in the mood to write.
Feel kind of crappy.
Oh and sick.

This weekend was fun!!
On Saturday we had to babysit our favourite little girls again. We were supposed to be there at 16.45 but their dad called to see if we could get there a little earlier. The little Miss was crying and asking for us. It really feels good to know that she likes us. We went a little earlier, but first we relaxed a bit. After all The Sweetie has a job.. That afternoon and evening we drew "Kabouter Plop", dolphins and all sorts. We read a lot of books to her and I went to play soccer outside with her. We entertained her younger siser with singing to her, playing with all sorts of noises and show her some colourful stuff. Oh and a lot of cuddling of course! For both.

On Sunday we had a date with a college friend from The Sweetie. She was wearing a black skirt, a white blouse and a black tie. *sigh* Really wanted the tie. We went to a tea room in Roeselare and talked and laughed for over three hours. Oh and we ate pancakes. Mine was with strawberries and whipped cream (see photo above). Yuuuummie.

But now you'll have to excuse me I have to clean.
And calm my nerves 'cause tonight I have a job interview.

This week-end we helped out Occie and Spikey with their jungle garden. Lots of spiders (see above), broken spades and a bumble bees nest.
Spikey also installed "The Sims" and both expansions on my PC. Highly addictive. And while he was uploading he threw in "photoshop" too. You just have to love that guy! I don't understand half of the program but I love to learn (especially when there's no test!) so I'll get to that.

Further more: I'm all alone today. No Sweetie in sight as she has to do some overtime. *sad*

Yesterday I played scrabble with Duvelman, who teaches Dutch, and said he'd kick my arse so hard I wouldn't be able to sit on it for days. Oh how sweet victory tasted after those anointed words... Duvelmans reaction and comments on some of the words can be found on Flickr.

Had a true Duvelman weekend. Friday night we watched "The Office" series 1.
Saturday night he came accompanied by Bietje to beg The Sweetie to "duck" the night away. Don't ask.
Sunday afternoon, after an enlightening MSN conversation with Baloo, he was supposed to come and show us his swimsuit. He came but left his swimgear in the car. Tsk! We were all very disappointed. But that was a bit compensated by our conversation about the blood/meat theory. :-)

As said: Baloo came by Sunday afternoon. He brought cake with him. Yay! Less yay if you know the gym was closed for some time and I didn't go for a run or anything but hey who's complaining? My jeans is!

Bad news for the ones who were looking forward for yet another fantastic show of Les Mysteres de Moustaches: the show is canceled. Not our fault. Maybe next year?

I totally agree with Dykes and the City on hidden tracks. I was listening to 't hof van commerce's "oei gin Vlams verstaet" when the track ended and there was silence. No happy skipping to the next cool song but... silence. And then to make things much, much, MUCH worse: after the silence DJ 44 went crazy and started to rap with this stupid non West-Flemish accent. Dear DJ you are supposed to dj not sing; shut up!

It's a beautiful sunny day and I stayed indoors to read The Earth's Children book three. I'm addicted although I know everything as I already read the books three times.

Talking about addiction: I'm addicted to Flickr. Especially as more and more people comment on my pics and some even count a few pictures as a favourite. Which is cool and kind of scary. I always liked taking pictures and now people I don't know think their good enough to be in their favourites.

And finally last but not least: very big hugs to Madscot!!! *HUUUUUUUGS*

Went to the Gentse Feesten yesterday. Gentse Feesten=Gent is one big party zone for ten days, lots of music, lots of stands with t-shirts or food or people breathing through their eyes. Had a date with Bavada, Chick, Baloo and Jacques. We met at Baudelo where there were dance initiations. Very cool! Jacques and I participated in the Salsa ones. The Sweetie and I shook our asses during the belly dancing session but we didn't participate. Too much tummy to shake. :-) (joke-credits to Chick) We ate some delicious vegan burgers (except for The Sweetie; she ate ice cream), saw 't hof van Commerce -> very cool hip-hop group that sings in a dialect only understandable by those who live in the West-Flanders and played with Baloo's holiday pet. Yes it was an interesting afternoon/night.

Had Duvelman & Bietje over for a visit Saturday night. The neighbours had those "What are those two men doing at the Lesbo Palace at midnight?"-looks on their faces. Had fun kicking Duvelman's arse in Mario Double dash. :-)



Sunday we went to the seaside. I look like a lobster. At least from behind. No colour changes in the front area except for me boobs of course. Since they've grown a cup they keep getting sunburnt. Tsk!
There was some exhibitionism and we ate -as usual when we visit Oostende- chips from the Dyke Chips Shop.

As I forgot my camera at E-freak's place I went back for it this morning. Me without my camera is asking for trouble! Went to Gent and "helped" selling some student's housing.

All this with intermissions of OoTP as I'd forgotten all about it. God stupid Harry you're a whinny prick! Get a grip! Or don't and die. :-)

I made two cakes in three days. You might think: "scary!", but don't worry, they didn't work out. Ok, one sticked to the thingie I prepared it in. *g* And I took the other too soon out of the oven. I was hungry! But they both tasted great so that's an improvement! Oh and thank you (The) Girlfriend for the recipe!

In the past five days I've seen D&tC, The Girlfriend, Baloo, Duvelman and some form of Madame F. It's been a few very blogfilled days without actual blogging. :-)

I've started a collection. I'm not sure how I'm going to name it yet but it contains my jewelery from Boris and a tie from Helmut. If I keep bumping into those sweet gentlemen I might even consider becoming one of them using all the props I've collected. ;-)

I'm running out of ideas concerning easily prepared meals. If someone has any recipes lying around, don't hesitate to post them in the comments! No onions or meat, thanks!

I didn't get the job I applied for because "at this stage" they were selecting people with experience in that specific section. I don't have experience with children who have a behavioural disorder but I sure ain't getting it if nobody lets me. You said in the interview that I gave all the right answers. And I lived in one house with my brother for over 18 years. Doesn't that mean a thing? Tsk!

It's been a very Occie week this week. Monday I went to his place to play video games. We ended up singing along with that PS2 sing game. It said I was a rising star. :-D As I can't sing one note right it's a very gentle game. That eye toy thing is also a very cool thing but I suck at 'grooving' around (tag all sorts on a beat). Guess I'm not that rhythmical...
Went to the gym together.
Thursday we went to Gent to do some (Fnac)shopping. Bought jamaisneutral the first season of Frasier, the DVD of ESC 2005 and some psychology book called:" the naked psychologist". Can't wait to see practiced. :-) Got myself "the dead" by Ingrid Black to read. It sounds promising. Oh and I got the CD of 't hof van Commerce. It's reaaaaally good! *sings: joen asem rikt noa anjoen en get de contoere van ne watrmeloen* (for the English speaking persons: "your breath smells like an onion and you look like a watermelon" sung with a West Flemish accent.) *Checks the too small DVD cabinet.* Oh and "clueless" was on sale; I couldn't resist.
Friday we baked a cake and played some games on the X-box and the Gamecube. Mainly tennis games and the Mortal Kombat kind. It always feels good to kick some ass. The Sweetie came by to pick me up. Went home to eat just to drive back to Occie's place and watch "Life according to Garp".
A very Occie week indeed....

Tuesday (as I can't remember what I did on Monday..)

Went to Ieper for an application. A written exam. *shivers* Questions where ok: all familiar situations. Too bad the job is in Ieper and I can't drive a fucking car.
Occie came to pick me up and we drove to the Macro. Bought too much candy. Stayed for dinner @ Occie's. He'd bought too much pizza's. They didn't fit in the freezer. :-)
Got an e-mail saying I wasn't invited for round two. Too bad.

Wednesday

Had a good night's sleep. Finally. :-) Went to Occie and played all sorts of video games. He stole a cool resident in my AC game. Bastard! Went to the gym. Made dinner for Occie and Spikey: baked patotoes, cucumber, tomatoes, salad, and some marinated stuff: they liked it. :-)

Thursday

Visited my grandparent's. First the ones on my father's side. Stupid granddad said some ancient stuff. I think he still believes it's 1950. Grr! Thank god I luuuuv my grandmother. She's sweet, seems to understand me or at least tries to. And she fixed my Sweetie's new skirt. :-)
On to my grandparents on my mother's side. Showed my tattoo. Granddad showed his new knife. Got a lunch invitation.
Had a run-in with a train conductor. I wanted to buy a ticket from him. Stupid fuck was going to charge me double. Can I help it there's a line frome here to Tokyo at the ticket window?!? I think not! And the train was going to leave in two minutes. Told the fuckster what I thought of him and decided to take the next train.
Got a phonecall: if I would like to applicate for a job next Wednesday.. Would I?!!!? I'd loooooooove to!
My mum called. Grandma had called to her to complain about well.. me. She was oh so nice to me but when I'd left she didn't wait two seconds to phone mum. I hate (yes hate!) hypocrisy! Why can't she tell all the things she said behind my back to my face? Lunch on Monday should be great. :-(
Thursday is also Ellen Day: Ellen came by and got the chips she asked for. I like (to not say "love" for about the thousand time) a good conversation where all parties have their say, where there is room for discussion and where you get the so needed pad on the shoulder.


Friday

Killed the cats after they killed my last strawberry drink. Played AC. Tonight we're going to an Upperware party. Should be interesting. :-D

No fitness for me today. Went to see the doc instead. Apparently I have bronchitis. Great.
But don't think I negelected my sports duties!! I went for a bike ride with S. to Roeselare. Got me a Star Academy bracelet thingie; yes I know I'm cool. Way cool... NOT. I just think it's funny. :-) Oh the exitement: what color did I choose? Did I pick the one supporting Pim, Afi or one of the K's???
Anyways, I was thinking about maybe going to the gym tomorrow after noon but Ellen called that she's on sick leave. We're going shopping!! :-D (Yes I do realize that I don't have any money) And yes Ellen deserves to go shopping when she's on sick leave because her co-workers made her crazy. She's been pestered for months now. So it's going to be a healthy shop-away-your-problems-excursion. I'm so therapeutic. Yes I do realize I'm kissing my own ass but I need this. I don't seem to be able to get a job and I'm scared shitless to start driving exams things. No, not "aaah I'm driving a car" thing and the busy roads, just the stupid "written" exam gives me shivers. Blah, I'm such a sissy.

Friday I went to Occie and "Ventje". Ate some really yummie tiramisu. Talked about Animal Crossing (of course, we're nerds for a reason!), friends, watching porn and sex (of course, we're living beings after all). Every time we "just" talk with friends instead of watching films/ESC or play video games we end up discussing sex. Is it just us or is it a general thing??
Although The Sweetie begged Ventje to share some of his porn, she didn't get any. Thank god! I'm not into gay porn. Too explicit for my sensitive eyes.. But I am still getting "The L word" from Ventje! Whiiii!!! Any time soon I'm having my own L word marathon sessions. :-)

Saturday I talked The Sweetie into going to the seaside. We spent some time on the beach with E-freak and R. although it was kind of cold and very(!) windy. After an hour of two filled by: "Am I getting a tan?" "No not yet" "How about now?" by The Sweetie and E-freak (and of course the obligated sex talk) we decided to head to the Dyke Chip Shop all dressed in Adidas. We were going for that "suspicous gang" look. :-) Ate some delicious french fries while watching fragments of Junior Eurovision. After dinner we saw ESC 2000 and 2001. God there were some crappy songs in them!

Today we went to the "Patersmarkt" in Izzehem. Some sort of Crap Market. You know, where people buy other people's crap. It's a place where all kinds of scary humans (or that's want they want us to believe) gather. I bumped into my mother who wanted to surprise visit us. Thank god we weren't at home; it's a pig's sty (sp?).

Later tonight I'll be watching Star Academy as I am to scared to go and see "The house of wax" in the cinema with E-freak and R.

Update:The house of wax has Paris Hilton in it. How can it be anything but funny??? Too bad I'm scared of wax dummies...

Went to Oostende today. Visited Eurovisionfreak. And what was the first thing we did?? We played Animal Crossing. :-) And tennis, and kirby. Sad isn't it?? The sun's out, the sea's near and we do our nerd routine. Guess this means we truly are nerds.
Then we "borrowed" a bike for me and drove to the library where E-Freak talked me into reading all the nominees in the category 12+ for the Children's and Youth Books Prize thingie. I ate the most delicious sandwich ever(!) and felt truly at ease while riding next to E-freak. We even did the whole "let's ride hand in hand" thing. But as the tires of Maria (there was a sticker on which it said "maria") were kind of flat we stopped cos we nearly fell flatfaced in the middle of the street. :-)
We dropped all our books but two at E-freak's place, took some towels and headed for the beach. We lay there bare chested for an hour desperately waiting for Piglet to appear. She didn't. :-(
Now I'm home feeling a desire to move to Oostende.
