Six day London trip

Spoilers ahead throughout my entire post.

We were welcomed in the U.K. with buckets of rain. The first test for our newly purchased bag. Luckily for us it was waterproof. :-)
We arrived at the hotel and got our key from a cute trainee surrounded by arguing staff. Nice.
We dumped our stuff in our claustrofobic little room and headed for Sectus to meet [info]madscot.

On Sunday we said goodbye to our Scottish friends and on Monday we welcomed Spikey. He had read the book online so Harry Potter was never far away. we scavenged the streets of London in search of the perfect shoes we didn't find and occasionally we went to see the sights.

I had a great time, although my feet hurt and I sleepwalked the whole day on Wednesday.

random remarks 'bout DH and London in general:

I'm back!

There will be a detailed update soon about our six day holiday in London. Currently I'm busy with the pics and reading The Book. And plucking cat hairs out of the sofa, making a decent meal (wink @ [info]madscot), buying tons of HP related stuff on the internets because Sectus was on that part a big letdown and enjoying the car. My feet are currently supporting a blister the size of London.
Anyway, back to cleaning the house and cuddling the cats.

London holiday

The last few days things got a bit crazy when it came to our holiday. After we had some trouble getting our train tickets for the Eurostar we [info]jamaisneutral decided to e-mail the hotel we're staying at to confirm our booking. We got a mail back saying they didn't found our name, so "no we hadn't booked a room at their hotel. If we maybe could send some more info, sometimes the internet agencies book under their name..." [info]jamaisneutral mailed all the info we had received and we waited patiently for an answer... that didn't came.
[info]jamaisneutral then surfed to the site we booked our trip through reading aloud some answer on a FAQ: "when you have received an email confirming your booking you shouldn't be worrying, everything will be fine."
We both checked our accounts: nothing. At that point panic was starting to set in.
[info]jamaisneutral ever the confident, serious, relaxed person decided to call the agency. And called again. And emailed. And emailed again.
It was nice and not at all nerve wrecking! hem hem.

But yesterday we got confirmation so we'll get to see [Bad username: Madscot"] and slashers and whine about how J.K. fucked up the last book. She will, I just know it. And after the Harry Potter convention I'll get to buy lovely all stars and relax in London's many parks. Yay!

the report of an unemployed

Had Duvelman & Bietje over for a visit Saturday night. The neighbours had those "What are those two men doing at the Lesbo Palace at midnight?"-looks on their faces. Had fun kicking Duvelman's arse in Mario Double dash. :-)

Sunday we went to the seaside. I look like a lobster. At least from behind. No colour changes in the front area except for me boobs of course. Since they've grown a cup they keep getting sunburnt. Tsk!
There was some exhibitionism and we ate -as usual when we visit Oostende- chips from the Dyke Chips Shop.

As I forgot my camera at E-freak's place I went back for it this morning. Me without my camera is asking for trouble! Went to Gent and "helped" selling some student's housing.

All this with intermissions of OoTP as I'd forgotten all about it. God stupid Harry you're a whinny prick! Get a grip! Or don't and die. :-)
