Concert (2)
[should have been posted yesterday]
Evanscence rocked my world yesterday. It was all I expected it would be. A very enthusiastic Amy who sang her heart out, a light show and a "freak"show. I loved looking at all the people who came to watch an Americangoth rock group. Some looked like they were ready to be bitten by a vampire, some were pregnant, some were old (+70), some were young (+/-10) and accompanied by their parents who either obviously wanted to embarass their kids by wearing flowy grandma dresses or who were really into it. :-)
The group before sucked big time. Four teenagers accompanied by a computer to produce the necessary beats to supply "the edge". Electro smothered by 4 guitars and a drum. It wasn't pretty, I tell you! I didn't even get their name as they didn't introduce themselves properly but they were obviously feeling home-y 'cause two didn't bother to wear a shirt. Little boys trying to act like grown up touring men. A bit sad actually.
Luckily they only "performed" five songs. Or six, I didn't quite understand when one ended and the other began and they all sounded alike. Horrible.
I was really glad Amy came on stage and made us forget those teenagers in a mere three seconds! Yay for her. I loved all the songs she performed (of course) and I even saw the GF shake her goodies. Yep, she didn't end up below the balcony. *proud* She just now asked me to play something of the group (yes, I was playing Marija instead of Evanscence). I'd put on this (click below)
but she wanted something with more guitars. Ah yes, I'm teaching her well. :D
Next concert on the agenda: Mika & Rufus Wainwright
[Yay!! LJ is back!!!]
