Small Update

* The Lazy Arse project is getting my arse in shape. I already lost some kilos, I feel more alive instead of a zombie and I'm getting some long lost muscles back. Yay! Dance class is great except when I have to do the "sexy" dance, my crosstrainer is sublime and highly addictive and running is okayish. I'm thinking about going for speed instead of distance 'cause that's more my thing. So yes, all is great in Lazy Arse land.

* Got my wisdometeeth pulled. I was nervous. When I got some papers in hospital that said "bodybag included" I was even more nervous. But I lived. And no, I don't resemble a guinea pig, my cheeks are a bit puffed that's all.

* Went to see Rufus last night. It was his last chance. I don't like his last CD all that much and he sucked big time at Werchter. The concert was OK. I liked the up tempo songs and the old ones the best. I guess I'll never get into his latest album. Too bad.

* That's it boys and girls. Check back in a month or so for more news. :D

"Get off your lazy ass!" (5)

High in the sky

Last night I went wall climbing with my dad at Blueberry hill. I had a great time and hope to make a monthly thing out of it. My muscles are sore and it feels good. This project is truely launched!

"Get off your lazy ass!" (4)

Maybe it wasn't such a brilliant idea to go running after I've just been sick.
But at least I'm getting off my lazy ass. Four times eight minutes so far. Squeee!

"Get off your lazy ass!" (3)

Today I used my bike to do some shopping. Normally I would've taken the car but I figured it is about time to kick the "Get off your lazy ass!" project into life again.
The Universe didn't agree with me though. My tires were flat due to lack of use (oops!), and there was wind and it was all uphill and... Enough reasons to get into my car and get it over with in ten minutes BUT sometimes I'm just stubborn. :-) Got on my bike, did the shopping, sweated like a pig and was home in thirty minutes. Now my ass is sore (I really need to invest in a decent saddle) but I feel quite pleased with myself. Eat that Universe! :-)

Routhy and I also started looking into some dance schools to satisfy our dancing feet but it isn't looking too good at the moment.
School1 is rather cheap, €129 for a whole year. But we are in a group with mostly 13 year olds. Bah! Not a real option. I don't want to be outshined by some skinny bouncy child. GoD, I'm a whinny old bitch.
School2 charges €73 for 14 lessons. We're going to an open day of that one, although it is rather expensive. But [info]jamaisneutral tells me that if I want to dance I should dance. Which is really sweet of her as we don't have a lot of money laying around just waiting to be spent.
School3 doesn't even have the course we're looking for. And that calls itself a dance school. Tsk!
School4... ah wait there are only three schools in this city. Blah!

Oh, and in September I'm giving "start to run" my final try. If I don't succeed now I'm a big fat loser who needs to be severely punished by some bulky butch female fitness instructor. Hmmm.. that doesn't sound as bad as I thought it would. :D

"Get off your lazy ass!" (2)

R. and I went rollerblading today. After we dusted the spiderwebs of our skeelers and after some adjusting to the fact that we had wheels for feet we started our journey alongside the local river.

Number of km: +/- 6
Number of blisters: 1 open one which hurts like hell
Times fallen flat on my ass: 0
Times waving my arms around like an idiot in order not to fall on my ass: +100

R. and I rewarded ourselves afterwards with some melon and a nice fruit juice mix. And we played on the gamecube. Not getting of our lazy asses. :D

"Get off your lazy ass!"

Project: "Get off your lazy ass!" starts tomorrow. I'm going rollerblading with a friend. Well, we're going to attempt not to fall on our ass while trying to maintain our coolness.
But it is a start. Right now I'm looking into dance lessons (street dance) but it seems impossible to get any concrete info on the Net concerning a school in the neighborhood. Which means I'll have to go and ask it in one of those places. I don't want to but hey, I want to dance.
Other tasks filed under this project: find some sort of exercising program for [info]jamaisneutral and I. And restart our start-to-run program.

But all that starts tomorrow, right now I'll go and lay on the couch some more. :D
