After three workdays where the toddlers and babies dropped like flies by some disease causing them to have a +38,5°c body temperature, some rash and other yukkie stuff that one haves when sick, I'm feeling kind of sick myself. Really not the right time for it!
I have dinner plans, I want to go to this "hipster" party but most of all: I NEED to read my new Gerri Hill books that [info]jamaisneutralso lovingly ordered for me!! I loooooooove them trashy lesbian story lines. Hee!

Surprise?

So I got a phone call with the results of Monday's interview. They've chosen someone who lives nearby. But I was a very good candidate and they were very impressed by me. And they said [quote/]You were a very good candidate and I wouldn't be surprised if you found a job yesterday[/unquote].
Funny that I've been unemployed for six months.

Damn!

So the job interview yesterday went great. The people were sweet, I answered all their questions, we laughed. You know everything felt damn fine. It's a new building, it's a group of kids I always wanted to work with. My dream job could be like this you know.

Only one small problem: I need to pick up the kids with a van. Without a drivers licence that could be tricky..
So I won't be expecting a positive phone call this week. But hey... I am a top-tenner you know.

Strawberries with whipped cream

This weekend was fun!!
On Saturday we had to babysit our favourite little girls again. We were supposed to be there at 16.45 but their dad called to see if we could get there a little earlier. The little Miss was crying and asking for us. It really feels good to know that she likes us. We went a little earlier, but first we relaxed a bit. After all The Sweetie has a job.. That afternoon and evening we drew "Kabouter Plop", dolphins and all sorts. We read a lot of books to her and I went to play soccer outside with her. We entertained her younger siser with singing to her, playing with all sorts of noises and show her some colourful stuff. Oh and a lot of cuddling of course! For both.

On Sunday we had a date with a college friend from The Sweetie. She was wearing a black skirt, a white blouse and a black tie. *sigh* Really wanted the tie. We went to a tea room in Roeselare and talked and laughed for over three hours. Oh and we ate pancakes. Mine was with strawberries and whipped cream (see photo above). Yuuuummie.

But now you'll have to excuse me I have to clean.
And calm my nerves 'cause tonight I have a job interview.

How things are suddenly looking up.

Just had a phone call from an Institution I applied for. They'd received over 60 letters of which they selected ten candidates. I was thinking: "great, now they're calling to say I don't have the job. How am I going to prove to the VDAB that I applied in the first place????". Luckily for me they haven't started doing that yet. I made it to the last ten!!! Yaaaaayyyyyy!!! I have an appointment for Monday. There's no way in hell I am going to get the job because I live too far away but hey I'm a top tenner!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGHHHH!!!!!!!!

It's been a while I know. Lots have been going down. But I feel no need to write about it.

Right now I'm seriously pissed off. Searing, in-the-mood-to-kill-pissed off. I volunteered for this soccer tournament. Lots of opportunity to get some connections through which I hope to get a job in the end. But the organization screwed me big time. I was told the tournament would last two days (the week-end) and there was no need I'd spent the night at the hotel with the group I supervised. Tata... I HAVE to sleep at the hotel and the damn thing is from Thursday night 'till Monday. But that's not the biggest screw up, the MAJOR screw up is I know this info since yesterday. There was this meeting to "inform" us all. Information given: a little more than zero, questions risen: a gazillion, answers given: two(?). BLOODY IDIOTS!!!
And that's not all. I somehow managed to persuade The Sweetie to join me. I promised her there would be no sleep-overs as she doesn't like those. Think again! There are no details given and I am supposed to give answers to all the questions my delegation asks me. I have more questions than answers how in earth will I succeed to make a good impression??
I am supposed to pick them up. I have no idea when or where the bus departs to the airport. When I asked I got "I don't know" in return. GRRRRRRRR!
FUCKINGIDIOTSSCREWUPSNITWITSASSHOLESTWATSBANSHEES......

'scuse me I'm quite pissed off. Forgive me my grammar and spelling mistakes when I go on a rant I don't think straight.

random thoughts

I made two cakes in three days. You might think: "scary!", but don't worry, they didn't work out. Ok, one sticked to the thingie I prepared it in. *g* And I took the other too soon out of the oven. I was hungry! But they both tasted great so that's an improvement! Oh and thank you (The) Girlfriend for the recipe!

In the past five days I've seen D&tC, The Girlfriend, Baloo, Duvelman and some form of Madame F. It's been a few very blogfilled days without actual blogging. :-)

I've started a collection. I'm not sure how I'm going to name it yet but it contains my jewelery from Boris and a tie from Helmut. If I keep bumping into those sweet gentlemen I might even consider becoming one of them using all the props I've collected. ;-)

I'm running out of ideas concerning easily prepared meals. If someone has any recipes lying around, don't hesitate to post them in the comments! No onions or meat, thanks!

I didn't get the job I applied for because "at this stage" they were selecting people with experience in that specific section. I don't have experience with children who have a behavioural disorder but I sure ain't getting it if nobody lets me. You said in the interview that I gave all the right answers. And I lived in one house with my brother for over 18 years. Doesn't that mean a thing? Tsk!

My week so far

Tuesday (as I can't remember what I did on Monday..)

Went to Ieper for an application. A written exam. *shivers* Questions where ok: all familiar situations. Too bad the job is in Ieper and I can't drive a fucking car.
Occie came to pick me up and we drove to the Macro. Bought too much candy. Stayed for dinner @ Occie's. He'd bought too much pizza's. They didn't fit in the freezer. :-)
Got an e-mail saying I wasn't invited for round two. Too bad.

Wednesday

Had a good night's sleep. Finally. :-) Went to Occie and played all sorts of video games. He stole a cool resident in my AC game. Bastard! Went to the gym. Made dinner for Occie and Spikey: baked patotoes, cucumber, tomatoes, salad, and some marinated stuff: they liked it. :-)

Thursday

Visited my grandparent's. First the ones on my father's side. Stupid granddad said some ancient stuff. I think he still believes it's 1950. Grr! Thank god I luuuuv my grandmother. She's sweet, seems to understand me or at least tries to. And she fixed my Sweetie's new skirt. :-)
On to my grandparents on my mother's side. Showed my tattoo. Granddad showed his new knife. Got a lunch invitation.
Had a run-in with a train conductor. I wanted to buy a ticket from him. Stupid fuck was going to charge me double. Can I help it there's a line frome here to Tokyo at the ticket window?!? I think not! And the train was going to leave in two minutes. Told the fuckster what I thought of him and decided to take the next train.
Got a phonecall: if I would like to applicate for a job next Wednesday.. Would I?!!!? I'd loooooooove to!
My mum called. Grandma had called to her to complain about well.. me. She was oh so nice to me but when I'd left she didn't wait two seconds to phone mum. I hate (yes hate!) hypocrisy! Why can't she tell all the things she said behind my back to my face? Lunch on Monday should be great. :-(
Thursday is also Ellen Day: Ellen came by and got the chips she asked for. I like (to not say "love" for about the thousand time) a good conversation where all parties have their say, where there is room for discussion and where you get the so needed pad on the shoulder.

Friday

Killed the cats after they killed my last strawberry drink. Played AC. Tonight we're going to an Upperware party. Should be interesting. :-D

Tsk!

As you all know I am currently unemployed. In the past 15 minutes I've been called about twenty times. Two of those calls were work related.
The first one was about this Special Olympics thingie for which I agreed to lend a hand. Yes I have something to do, AND it helps when one has those things on ones CV. :-)
The second one was from a friend that I worked with at my last job. If I would like to go on camp with some guys from The Flower? Would I like to?? I'd LOVE to!!! Good news: I get paid and of course the CV thingie again. :-) The bad news: The Sweetie is on holiday in that week. She's very sweet about it (of course as she *is* my sweetie) and I can go on camp. But I don't want her to be alone. (Yes I am a sweet littl' girl too) So does any one want to adopt my Sweetie for a week?? :-) Pfff I guess I'll have to refuse. We were planning to go to the UK anyway. And maybe visit some LJ Friends. :-) Should be fun too.

Please forgive me my grammar and/or spelling mistakes my brain is currently being boiled..

To be or not to be?

To be... a dentist?
Influence: the dentist that handled my braces for eight years. Yes she was very very cute!
age: 8-1O
action: I studied very hard for biology lessons. For the test about teeth I got 10/10.
anecdote(s): All my friends declared me crazy when I said I wanted to become a dentist. They talked about non-brushed teeth and hurting people. I just didn't care, I wanted to work @ my idol's place!

To be... a Power Ranger?
Influence: Tv series "The Power Rangers"
age: 1O-11
action: I saved the world several times during breaks at school. I trained two months with my friends during summer holidays. I built a secret hiding place with booby-traps around it.
anecdote(s): We always made my younger brother play one of the girls.

More To be.... )

Career change?

There are a few options to finally find a new job.

1. I could go back to police school/become a fire fighter like my father and his father before him.

2. Go to the VDAB and talk them into giving me tuition money. For my truck driver's license or to study for nurse as they need like a thousand of them starting from TODAY. Oh or I could go back to college and finish my A1. (But I don't want to take any tests anymore!!! I have issues. I freak and forget everything the moment they shove those stupid questions under my nose)

3. Go back to my old factory work or to my old job in the Carrefour that I left to go back to school.

4. Finally get my driver's license although I don't want to drive a car. I do want to drive a bus/truck/motorbike. :-) And with that stupid license I can apply for an extra ten jobs. Wahey.

5. Start my own daycare center. Yes I realize I don't have any money. Shut up! Oh and The Pigie is totally against it. Tsk!

6. Do absolutely nothing of the above and just get pregnant. I could become a full time mum. Yeah right. Like I don't need tons of money to do that. *sigh*

(no subject)

I slept one hour tonight. And as I was falling asleep I got a textmessage. I ignored it because I felt the sleep take over my body, a blessed feeling. At six, an hour later, my phone rang: if I could come over to babysit? In a half hour? Ok but only 'cos your wife is having a baby right now. Maybe I should start a call-me-when-your-wife-gives-birth-to-another-child-service?
If the jobs don't come to me, I'll start creating some! :-)

By the way it's a cute female creature and sweetie... I'm getting you pregnant tonight!

Work

Today I found a job vacancy on the VDAB-site for which I can actually send a letter without being incompetent or "forgetting" that I can't drive. Wahey!
I am also sending some random letters to the facilities in the neighborhood. Hey I am actually seeking a job not just looking around. :-)
I am tired of sitting at home. Ok I like to sleep out late and do nothing all day but playing Animal Crossing on the Game Cube but... I am tired of doing absolutely nothing productive. Monday I am going horseback riding with the clients of my previous job. I don't even care that I am not paid and that I have to get up at 8 A.M. It'll be fun!
